Description
A blue wisteria vine is the center point of this botanical illustration, drawn hundreds of years ago. This very hardy and fast-growing plant is a favorite in the United States, and is often seen climbing up a tree, pergola, wall, or other supporting structures. The plant was introduced to the western world in the late 18th, early 19th century from its home in Japan and China.
While this illustration is clearly vintage, it is difficult to date it, as it was found in another tome that is not related to botany. Nonetheless, this print will be at home on any wall that needs a bit of a romantic feel, and is perfect for a kitchen, reading room, closed patio or a girl’s bedroom
