This beautifully preserved and additionally enhanced map of Atlanta, Georgia, shows the city as it was in 1892. from a bird’s eye perspective. This is the time when the city was almost completely done rebuilding after the Civil War, and trying to capitalize on its superior rail transportation network, which also helped establish Atlanta as a modern city with a modern economy, not as reliant on agriculture. This map shows incredible detail of houses and buildings alike; with street names, parks, trees bodies of water; making it that much more realistic and lively.
