Description
This black and white engraving of a shell was originally published by German engraver Georg Wolfgang Knorr in 1757. Originally printed in full color, our team of artists decided the original artist’s intricate line work left behind from the engraving process was best presented in black and white. These thin lines result in an incredible level of detail that makes the viewer believe they could actually reach out and feel the ridges of the shell. This line work also compliments the spiral shape of the shell, making this a unique piece of coastal decor. The level of detail presented in this piece of wall art, in combination with the lack of color, makes this piece an easy addition to any bedroom, study, or office space.
