Description
This gorgeous perspective map of Mystic River and Mystic Bridge in Connecticut in 1879 was drawn and published by O. H. Bailey and J. C. Hazen. It shows the river Mystic, the bridge, and the village of Mystic. That area is today the location of the largest maritime museum in the United States. Three large shipbuilding firms were located along the Mystic River during the 19th-century. The map was initially hand drawn and colored, with detailed street names, buildings, and life scenes, and it also contains an index with points of interest. This piece of wall decor will fit in perfectly in an office, a waiting room, or a cozy reading room. It will also be a perfect gift for an American history buff.
